About Whisper

Whisper is a cloud-powered gaming studio.

We are a global gaming project intended on utilizing many untapped resources who strive to have professional experience working with a team and creating video games according to their skill levels. All of our team members are volunteers of all ages who work for the experience. Our typical games are developed as either a Flash minigame on this website or as an XBOX Indie Game.

Typical game studios require years' worth of experience, whereas we simply want to know that you're good at what you do - or at the very least, eager to learn quickly. We intend to create great games for our customers and help our volunteers get served better jobs in their future by listing us as experience. While Whisper is currently a digital game studio project and is unincorporated, we do strive to one day expand our efforts, offering a professional physical location as well as continuing to maintain the cloud-based project that we currently run.

We also currently help independent game developers publish games and borrow other assets. For example, if an experienced coder wants to publish his or her own game but wants better art, Whisper can lend an artist for the job and help the developer publish his or her game for a small commission.

Whisper started as an intercontinental idea between John Dowdles (Sarsion), who lives in Scotland, and Corey Blakeborough (CAVX), who lives in America. They both figured that they could pool their resources together, get a little more knowledged in certain aspects, and create awesome games.

Whisper is still a "side project" for everyone involved - they contribute when they have the time. The benefit of working for a studio like Whisper is that our volunteers can learn the trade without quitting their dayjobs. The amount of volunteers as well as the team's general management and dedication allows work to continue despite the fact that most Whisper volunteers contribute to this project on the side.

Susurration.net itself was not only created as a place to showcase our projects and minigames, but also as a place to foster and develop an amazing community. Whisper's community was created to be our own little safe haven of the internet. As a whole, the team at Whisper interacts with a community on a very large scale from general discussion to game or website ideas. We like to think of our community as second-hand volunteers. We may not be able to put everyone on our project team, but everyone's input is appreciated and helps our cause.
